READDY 2.0: A Multisite Analysis and Update to the Readiness for Emerging Adults Diagnosed With Diabetes in Youth Transition Tool

Health care transition from pediatric to adult medical care for individuals with diabetes is a challenging endeavor during a developmental period of emerging adulthood. In this study, the psychometric properties of a diabetes-specific transition readiness assessment tool, READDY 1.1, were evaluated through confirmatory factor analysis of two datasets. Findings supported removal of several items and reordering of remaining items, resulting in an updated 36-item READDY 2.0 with enhanced utility for clinical care and research endeavors related to diabetes transition.
