The Commission's thoughtful and forward-looking reframing of atherosclerotic coronary artery disease (ACAD) as a systemic, lifelong condition marks a major and much-needed shift in cardiovascular care. The emphasis on early detection, risk factor modification, and the life-course approach is commendable and timely.
