

I read with great interest the study by Tanksley et al., which provides a valuable population-wide analysis of mortality among U.S. law enforcement officers (LEOs).1 The effort to establish a comprehensive national baseline for this critical workforce is commendable. However, I wish to highlight several methodological and interpretive considerations that are crucial for contextualizing these findings.
